October has been a big month at Unitlab. We’ve focused on refining the platform experience and laying the groundwork for new capabilities that make labeling faster, cleaner, and more flexible for AI teams everywhere.

This is our first formal product update and it’s a reflection of what we care about most: building tools that actually make your workflow better, not just bigger.

So, let's share updates.

## A Better Overall Experience

The latest update brings a polished new UI and smoother interactions across the platform. Navigation feels faster, the interface is cleaner, and tools behave more intuitively. We’ve fine-tuned the main menu and redesigned the workflow UI to make everyday annotation more intuitive and fluid.

### **Medical Data Annotation: In Beta**

Our new[ **medical data annotation**](https://blog.unitlab.ai/guide-to-medical-image-annotation/) module is now in **beta**, with a full release coming soon. It’s built for labeling imaging data such as ultrasound, CT, and MRI with precision and speed. The module supports multi-view workflows, advanced labeling controls, and better visualization options to handle the complexity of medical datasets.

We’re already testing it with early users and research partners, and the feedback so far has been great.

### **New: Dataset Release Feature**

We also introduced the **Dataset Release** feature, a simple way to publish, version, and share labeled datasets directly from Unitlab. It brings structure to your data operations, making it easier to prepare and distribute datasets for model training or external collaboration.

### **Coming Soon: Data Augmentation**

We’re putting the finishing touches on **data augmentation**, a feature that automatically creates variations of your existing datasets to improve model robustness and balance. It’s an easy way to scale training data diversity without sourcing new samples.

That wraps up our October updates. We’re already working on what’s next: more automation, more control, and more ways to help teams focus on what matters most: building better AI.
